I like the bg, ha and the perch. The exposure and lighting look good. A pleasing image. Crop slightly tighter on the bottom maybe?

Another super shot Jo, did you apply a mask to sharpen? If so have you excluded the back of he head?

Hi Jon, thank you for viewing and commenting. I do all my sharpening in Lightroom and there is a masking slider which I use. I took a look at the masking of the bird for sharpening, the back of the head was masked but did not have the edges that the front of he head and beak have so less sharpening there, mostly smooth feathers on the back of the head.

Killer perch, HA, and BG especially. I'm okay with the crop as I really like that yellow / green patch. The head looks a little soft to me so maybe look at sharpening that some more. TFS
