Hi All,

This image was taken at Nickerson Beach last week at Sunset.

I was packing up when I saw all birds take off and flying in Synchronously showing us various shapes and forms. I used a slow shutter speed to take this image.

Nikon D500, 500mm f/4 Lens
ISO 1250, f/5.6, 1/30 sec

Pretty shot. They do this all the time there. I really like the layers of birds in the shot. Did you adjust the white balance on this shot? Or is this straight out of camera. Has the feel of a shot where you used the eye dropper and placed it on the whits of the bird but I could be off.

Thank you for the comments. I did not change the White Balance.

Wow so everything was that pale blue color? I don't know how the Nikons work but was this set to an auto white balance or something else?

I agree white balance can be corrected. I somehow liked the bluish look.

I will re-post correcting the white balance

I like also. It gives the shot a very nice tone and an even more artsy feel. It just does not look 100% natural to me. That is why I asked the question about the white balance. In the Canon software, DPP there is an eye dropper that you can set the white balance with. It often gives exactly the same look. But of course this is not a true to life kind of shot so nothing wrong with the shot as presented.

Hi Krishna
Nice photo. The horizon could do with straightening.

I like the odd bits of sharp among the general blur. It is so abstract I did not really notice the colour balance but either work for me.
