Hi all,

A bit after I commented on Dan's Cedar Waxwing photo saying I can never get these guys to stay still for long enough, one did just that for two frames...funny how it works sometimes. I wish the bird was lower and thus had a better head angle, but I like the berries and such in the frame. In post, minor edits, dropped exposure a tad, NR, sharpened. This is full frame.

Camera: Nikon D500
Lens: 200-500mm f/5.6 at 500mm
Specs: 1/640 ISO 1600 f/5.6

Thanks for looking!
Alex

Your self critique is good, the background on the left is a little distracting.

Ha ha, that's the way it goes sometimes eh! I agree with your self critique. A good option, at time of capture, would have been to go vertical to eliminate most of the left. I know you like those berries though, and moving left to get those highlights out would have brought in that BG plant behind the subject.
