I like this shot John, in particular how the feet kind of 'fade away'. Composition looks good to me. I'm not familiar with this bird but I wonder if you could pull some more detail out of the blacks. TFS

Looking good to me. Nice feather detail and a lovely pose. I also like how the feet fade away, as Alex mentioned, looks cool. Nice one John.

Nice high key image of this Black-bellied plover. Nice low angle. I would like to see a tad more on the bottom for the virtual feet.

Very nice shot of a bird I still have yet to get a keeper of. They just never allow anywhere near close approach around here. They are by far the most wary shorebird in NYC. I like the high key look and the vanishing feet. I would run this bird through the NIK detail extractor at 25% and see if you can eke out some more details in the blacks.

Might just be my screen, but i dont mind the blacks in the image. The highlights in the head look a little too bright, but again it may be my screen.
Love the rest!

Exposure including the BLACKs and the WHITEs look perfect here. And I love the sharpness and the black-belly in heaven look.

with love, artie

Wow this is fantastic! Great dreamy feel. I'd be OK with 1 inch less above and 1 more below, but looks great as is.
