A few days ago I posted a photo of a Northern Harrier with great wing spread and a nicely fanned tail. It wasn't looking at the camera though. I was hoping against hope that the good elements would save the day for my photo. Quite a few people were very complimentary but Artie lowered the boom. In retrospect, I agree with Artie. Here's another Harrier with better eye contact.

Lovely pose and lighting Doug, and yes, the eye contact is great!

I like the nice light, wing position, cloudy BG and the look back makes it work really well. Maybe a tad more room at the bottom.

Real sweet, Doug. Love the look, and the clouds. THere is just no substitute for a good head angle as this image proves.

That BG makes this image a real winner!

Definitely good eye contact Doug and I guess we both learned this week. I agree the Bg is stunning in this image as well as the awesome head turn. Nicely done Doug.

Very nice Doug. I'll check your previous post but the eye contact is great here.

I've been much more focussed on my eye contact efforts since I've been receiving comments from the BPN Head Angle Police. ;)

Nice luminosity to the image and the head turn towards you makes it "aces".

Awesome, that intense look is what makes this a great image Doug!

Killer image, Doug. Love the eye contact. The wing position is great as well. Well done all around.

Love this one for all of the reasons noted above. The look-back head turn is perfect. Jiim Zipp squeaks like a mouse to get various raptors to stare at him in flight... And as I said, the pose in the other one was way spectacular.

Beautifull Image!! Better than your earlier one, mainly because the bird is larger in the frame and the image colors are much brighter, with more contrast! The head angle is nice here, but that's not the main reason I like this one more than the other.

Hi Doug. Here you have a very nice image of a flying harrier sort of looking your direction. The other was a very nice image of a harrier hunting. Both are nice, but they are different. For my money, I prefer the hunter. :)
