We had been looking for a Mourning Warbler that had been reported at a local wildlife preserve several days ago with no luck. As we emerged from the woods we encountered at least four Prairie Warblers. Was nice to get an image with nesting materiel in this ones beak. C&C welcome.

D500, Nikon 500mm f4/G + 1.4 TC, 1/800s, f 7.1, ISO 500, fill @ -3.0, Gitzo, Wimberley Gimbal head.

Removed some distracting branches in cs6.

Nice work Geoffrey and the nesting material is a bonus for sure. no evidence of those missing distracting branches, well done. I would be inclined to do a bit more processing and stamp the whitish areas; around the tail and on the evergreen... They are so small, and i love their call!

Good alert pose, with the bonus of the nesting material. Good to know they'll be nesting there.

Thanks Ann. I did look at whitish area behind the tail also, and agree it may be worth stamping.

Another pretty shot here and I really like the nesting material. Background is great as well. You did very well with the warblers. I am kind of bummed as I did not get a single frame of any of the migrants this year. Will try on Saturday. I am fine with the area around the tail but would remove the bright white on the lower right of the frame.
