Black Crowned Night Heron

Hi all,


Here's another Black Crowned Night Heron from about a week ago at the Jersey Shore. In post, I did some tonal adjustments, some noise reduction, sharpened and brushed over some busy brown twigs in the RHC. Slight crop. Wish that one bush didn't meet the beak.


Camera: Nikon D500
Lens: 200-500mm f/5.6 at 500mm
Specs: 1/1250 ISO 500 f/7.1

Alex bird stands out very well against the bg especially that red eye,exposure and sharpness looks really good.

I always love the red eye on these guys and they are so contrasty they stick out from the scene beautifully. Nice green background for this guy and the details and light angle look Great also. Well done
