I visited what we call the Aloe Farm, a nursery that sells Aloes and photographers are allowed to wander around photographing the Sunbirds that visit the area at this time of year. Sunbirds are very busy birds, not keeping still for a couple of seconds, as they flitter from one aloe to the other. This lady decided to have a scratch, and I noticed every time she did so, she seemed to open her beak. I decided to leave the OOF leaf on the RHS to balance the comp. Taken early morning.

Nice shot STu, I too would have left the second leaf in. Good exposure on the bird and caught at an interesting moment.

Nice light and great pose. I see why you left the oof leaf. A vertical without it might also work.

Now I'm busy with work and haven't been able to play much! I think we have our priorities messed up:t3

Very cool looking bird in a killer calling pose Stu and I like the perch and nice details captured. Well done.
