Not a particular amazing image, I just loved the overall colour palette here with the reeds in the background complementing the plumage.

Thanks to those who viewed or commented on the previous posting.

Hi Steve -- agree regarding the color palette...really awesome. I love how the BG colors are almost the inverse of the bird as you move up and down the frame and the red head really pulls it together. The resting pose is very peaceful. If you have it I could see just a *sliver* more room on the bottom as to not cut off those last little neck feathers but not by any means a real issue. TFS

Thanks Alex, sadly no more room at the foot of the image, but agree, a sliver more would not have hurt, although I could extend it without much of an issue, but not much.

I would say this is an amazing image, what a mood that is expresses. Nicely presented, excellent soft light with fine detail

Beautiful Color Palette. I which you could have got a better sun angle which would have completely removed the shadows on the bird, but still this is a beautiful image.

Congratulations on the capture. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Steve well this looks very nice in terms of color / tone as most of the times when you post .
All does look very balanced and i really like the muted colors and the ooooh so soft tonal transitions :w3.A very elegant pose of the crane i think and the crop does work well IMHO , i just wish the eye would be visible but bet you have frames with the eye :w3.
So i guess this is just different approach .

Well done Mr ....TFS Andreas
