Osprey in flight

Hi all,

Here is an osprey frame from Florida, and a frame or two after a previous photo I've posted. I loved watch these guys dive and fish. Pretty minor edits in post, some cropping, white balance adjustments, sharpening, and tried to reduce contrast from the harsh lighting.

Camera: Nikon D500
Lens: 200-500mm f/5.6 at 500mm
Specs: 1/2500 ISO 1100 f/5.6

Hi Alex. Nice flight pose and I like the HA you got. Quite good detail on the bird. I would try sharpening the head, chest and legs a little. A big fish in those talons would take this image up a few notches, but, not easy. It looks like he just missed the fish?

Hi Will, I added a bit more sharpening on those areas...I often struggle with how much sharpening to do. Yep he just missed the fish here. I was hoping to get some close head one shots with a fish but no luck -- next time! Thanks!
