I was photographing wading birds in a pond at Merritt Island NWR when this guy suddenly appeared overhead, coming to join the party. I didn't have time to boost the SS, but grabbed a few shots as he came by. Thus the blurred wingtips. Perhaps someone can tell me whether the dark smudges on the wings are an indication of a young bird, or evidence that he dipped his wingtips in the mud.

Hi Bill, Nice pose, HA, and eye contact on this guy. I don't mind the blurred wingtips here. I like the sliver of space between the top and bottom of the bill. TFS!

Nice work Bill, I like the flight pose and colours on the bird. The head looks sharp, and I also don't mind the blur on the wings, it brings movement to the frame. The green on the bottom adds to the image.

Nice shot Bill. I didn't get anywhere near one in Florida. Even though I know where a huge colony nests. Agree with above. Only thing to add is maybe the head looks a little too gray.

Very nice flight capture, Bill. Excellent wing position, and beautiful soft light. Well done.
