I haven't been back to the beach for a long time but finally had the chance to make a quick visit to Laguna Beach last week.

Nikon D750 and Nikkor 24mm/1.8G at f/8, ISO 400, 3 seconds. Raw conversion in LR and finished the tonality work in PS. Cropped from the bottom to 16:10 for composition, 18MP remaining.

Hi Adhika,

Nice dynamics and shutter etc, well done there...and it does indeed look like a dangerous spot where you might get sucked into the ocean. I think the FG is a little dark, maybe working to bring out the white streaks more to provide a bit more of a lead will help?

Thanks, Don! Yes, indeed, brightening the white streaks in the FG a little bit will help to bring out that leading line.

Hi Adhika, i am quite fond of these types of images and I like this one a lot. A good shutter speed was chosen to capture the movement in the water and I do agree with Don on bringing out a touch more detail from the water...perhaps a light handed use of Nik's Detail Extractor is all it needs to accomplish the task.

Well you know I like seascapes and this is a nice one, my one suggestion would be to add a bit of contrast to the works only

Thanks so much, Don & Andrew! It means a lot to me.
