Hi all,

Heres a spoonbill image made at Ding Darling Wildlife preserve, Florida a bit back. In post, I cropped about 40% off, did some levels adjustment and sharpening, and removed a bird that was intersecting the right wing. Shot from the road so didn't have much control over shooting angle but happy to cross this bird off my list.

Camera: Nikon D500
Lens: 200-500mm f/5.6 at 500mm
Specs: 1/2500 ISO 720 f/5.6

Thanks for looking!
Alex

A good landing pose, well focused. Congratulations on crossing one off the list; always a pleasure. It's tough to get close to them at Ding. I might have been tempted to crop with the bird a little further left in the frame.

Its a lovely shot, I like the pose. I am just wondering if there is a bit of a blue cast in the plumage - especially the left wing.

Lovely pose and detail on the bird. I think the whole image would look better warmed slightly, especially the bird.

Nice one Alex.

Thanks all for the kind words and suggestions! In the RP, I moved the crop so that the bird is a bit more to the left and warmed the image. I selectively toned down the blues on the bird a bit as well.

Thanks again!
