Grey Seal fun playing

Hi folks
A sunny Grey Seal image .....have not posted a sunny frame for a longer time from the Grey Seals .
This was taken in summer 2015 , when i had a great sunny time on Helgoland and not like the last two seasons when i had just mostly heavy overcast skies.
The summer time is way more relaxed for the seals as they just hang around and doing nothing or if they are in the mood they do play .Not like in winter during the mating season .
The number of seals are a lot lower in summer .

Canon EOS 1Dx
EF 200- 400 IS L with TC engaged ( 560 mm)
Tripod

F 7,1 ; Iso 6400 ; 1/2000 sec ; man exp

Processed with DPP 4.6 and PS CC 2017 ; cropped and leveled for comp from all sides to 70 % of FF.

Hi Andreas - I was starting to think that grey referred to the weather not the seals. Nice to see a bit of sunshine and blue water. Any chance you have the rest of the splash on the rhs? I'm a little surprised at the still high ISO given the light but the other techs look good. I do see a faint line where the seal's back meets the water. It may be there in the raw.

Thanks Rachel :bg3: yes good to see the colors , for sure i would love to have that every time i visit that island .
Sadly i do not have more room to the right , if i had i would have kept the splash in the frame .
I knew that you would see that line .....:w3.... it is part of the seal , meaning a fine line of reflection on the wet fur , for sure a bit amplified by the sharpening . For me not a problem .

Nice to see some good light on them, and they're offset nicely by the azure water.
