Lovely nuthatch pose (although I do wish the tail were visible). A lot like our Red-breasted Nuthatch. Beautiful fine detail.

Agree with Bill. Very nice pose and feather details. Background is a little noisy and I am not 100% about the angle of the trunk. Did a quick redo where I leveled the top and bottom of the tree so it is more vertical and also ran noise reduction on background. Also cloned out the bright spots on the bottom of the trunk. Thoughts?

Beautiful capture in nice soft light. I prefer the Nuthatch size in the original. Like the complimentary BG.

Noise looks better for sure and really makes the bird pop. I am OK with the original size and the crop. By the way I'm very impressed that you could get a sharp shot of one of these little speed demons at 1/400th. Very well done.

Thanks. It's hard to shot those little guys at lower speeds, but the light didn't allow faster speeds unless i would increase ISO speed.
But they tend to stay in that pose for a few seconds usually so it's a matter of being patient and firing lot of shots.

I like the sharp details and the nice BG+perch. like the view of the feet but wish we could see the tail too, still an attractive pose
