Beautiful and colourful bird. You got it in nice light. Excellent background. OK perch, but of course the foot just had to be covered by the small twig! I would have loved for the back half to be more parallel to the back of the camera.

Looking good, bird nice and sharp. Lovely BG. I am wondering if the bird was smaller in frame, and a looser crop would show the ends of the twigs!

This is less cropped. Do you think it's better? I tought the bird is too close to the center and i wanted to have bigger bird so that's why i cropped it more.

I would loosen crop even more on the RHS and bottom to show the ends of the twigs

Thanks. You are probably right, could look better. But this is as far i could go on the right side :(

Beautiful, colorful bird. I'm fine with the crop in the OP, although getting the right-hand seed pod in it's entirety would perhaps have been nice. You have nice sharp focus and detail on the head, and nice HA. Getting the perfect head angle AND getting the bird parallel to the sensor would be the gold standard, but tough to do.

lovely pose and sharp details from a less commonly seen specie. well done with the techs. I wish the OOF cattail had not intersected with the tail, moving to your right may have helped here

Thanks guys. Unfortunately nothing could be done while shooting because bird sat down only for 2-3 and i managed just to fire few shots at him without time to recompose or anything like that.

I meant 2-3 seconds.

This is the final version. Bird moved to the right, less cropped maximum to the right. Bird is smaller in the frame but i think picture looks better overall. Thanks a lot for feedback.
I hope you agree that it's better that way.
