Looks like they may have observed an adult couple doing a courtship dance (e.g. Stuart Wanuck's 'happy valentines day' thread, this forum), and didn't quite get it right when they tried to copy! I like the slightly long-suffering look the parent has. Great image, nice framing and lots of character, Geoffrey.

Great interaction of the kids, and I agree with David about the adult's look. Backgrounds are often a problem at Venice, but this worked out well. Nicely captured.

Really nice interaction with the family and I like the messed up 'hair' on the kids. I too like the 'thousand yard stare' the parent is giving. The BG is nice as well

Love this one Geoffrey. All three facial expressions are priceless. Lovely colours in the BG and FG. Good HA's on all three. Amazing POV. If they are like our herons, they nest on tree tops!
