Bronze-winged Courser photographed near Benoue National Park, Cameroon.
These beautiful coursers are nocturnal, and hence, I was super lucky to find a pair roosting near the road on a late afternoon game drive.
Canon 7d MkII / 400mm f2.8 / IS0 640 / f5 / 1/1600s / 0 exp / Spot metering / small crop, saturation, curve, sharpened for web.
I look forward to your comments
Cheers, Rich

What a unique bird.Nice head angle and the fact your down low with him the exposure looks spot on as well. I would be temped to remove the OOF Orange object in the lower left forground along with the longer blade of grass coming in from the right towards the bird. TFS

Congratulations on capturing what I assume must be a hard-to-get bird. Great head turn. My first reaction was to crop some from the right, but on second look it helps to frame the subject and add to the sense of habitat. The orange blob is less than ideal, but probably tough to remove convincingly.

What a great looking bird Richard. Nice perky pose and the colors and details look great too. Well done catching this one.
