Great Blue Heron Silhouette at Sunset

Hi All,

This image was taken at Farmington Bay, UT yesterday. With warmer temperatures we witnessed almost 20 Great Blue Herons hunting at one location in Farmington Bay, UT.

I found that we have a GBH Rookery at near by place.

This image was taken after sunset, I saw beautiful colors in water and Mountain Reflection.

Nikon D500, 70-200mm f/4 at 200mm
ISO 4000, f/4, 1/160sec
Matrix Metering + 1 2/3 EV

I like what you went for here. Nice colours, and the silhouetted heron looks good. I usually do not like such heavy inclusion of the "hand of man", but it works well here - especially if trying to promote a nature/man sharing space type imagery. I would however remove the tall antenna(?) in upper left corner. I would also crop from the bottom to place the heron and its reflection closer to the corner. Well seen opportunity!
