I took several shots of this cygnet, as it took off, from the ice covered loch. I tracked it, as it flew behind me, into the low sunset.

Hi Will,

I like this - always a fan of a bit of backlight. Here the rim light shapes the bird nicely and I like the way the light shines through the wing feathers. Getting the head against an area of lighter background was fortuitous.

Well done and thanks for sharing.

I don`t know if you like B&W Will but this image is an absolute cracker for it. The back lighting on the wings and water droplets really pops in B&W. TFS.

Hi Will, I like the muted colours on this one, the hint of warmth is a nice touch, as I feel B/W will be too stark. Not sure what is happening at the top where the dark hits the light part, especially on the LHS about 1.5 inches down from the top trim. Perhaps some posterisation (something in the PP stage) or some manipulation, which I doubt. Love the light coming through the wing.

Thanks guys, much appreciated. Think it is posterisation Steve. I never noticed it :e3
