Hello, this is an image of Yaquina Head lighthouse in Oregon. The image was taken mid-day and the exposure reduced to present a late evening light. The lighthouse light was added to make the final image.

Great "Day for night". I never would have thought it a mid-day photo.

Terry,

Greetings. Wouldn't have guessed this was a daylight shot. I wonder if a bit of added reflection of the lighthouse in the water might work. Thanks for posting.

Cheers,

Great idea and execution, Terry! I have no experience with lighthouses and their lights but I wonder what it would look like if you reversed the beam so the strongest light is at the lighthouse and it diffuses the farther away it gets. Just a thought and maybe it's not the way lighthouses work or their light looks so you might want to ignore that idea:S3: Thanks for posting - I hope we see more of your images here.

Good job assembling this image, it works quite well. The added beam of light looks great. I've been to this lighthouse, and many of the others on the Oregon coast. Great place!
