Last October the early morning dew sparkling on bright red autumn sumac caught my eye. The bright direct sunlight was way too harsh when sharply focused, and a diffuser just made the dew disappear. I think this wide-open, defocused image best captured the sparkle that caught my eye in the first place. What do you think?

Canon 20D, Sigma 150mm f/2.8 macro, Av 1/640 at f/2.8, ISO 100, manually defocused, tripod

CSPS2: increased contrast slightly

Very creative, Chris!

That is the kind of image that you need a good eye for :)

Congratulations!

Very nice. Good find. It looks a little like a tongue sticking out to me ;)
