Great capture, I like the details, soft light and the bird flying toward the perch. I only wish for a smoother BG but that doesn't seem to be possible in this setting. Thanks for sharing and good luck with your project!

I like the action you've captured in this photo Jeroen. If I were to do a kingfisher project it would consist of 10 lousy photos taken from a great distance! :) While the BG is a little blotchy, it's easy enough to fix in PS if you want to. I'd love to have an image like this in my portfolio! Thanks for posting!

Very nice action. The blurred wings adds a lot of action to the scene. the Bg works fine to me and the perch is an excellent compliment.

Excellent moment. I have seen a few images of KFs sharing a fish but those were on stationary perches. This is the first one where the male is in flight delivering the meal !
The blurred wings adds to the action.
Very well executed photograph. Will look forward to see more of ur KF images...
Keep them coming!

Great interaction and I love the blurred wings of the male!!! I'd sharpen his eye a little more. What a nice perch, was it set-up?

The color, detail and framing are outstanding. The action and interaction is superb. The perch is perfect and the BG bothers me not. Really nicely done...

Jeroen,
I absolutely adore this image. Kingfishers are super subjects, so little, fast and hard to capture. your patience had indeed paid off. Congrats. I cannot find faults to my taste at all.
