A captive Red-eyed Tree Frog photographed using one of my studio set-ups with a Bromeliad plant. All flash generated spectral highlights have been cloned out.

Nikon D800
Nikon 105mm Micro Lens
ISO 400 (my bad...I am usually at ISO 100 for these images...forgot to check my settings before hand)
f25 @ 1/60 sec
Nikon SB400 Speedlight on a Wimberley F-2 Macro Bracket
Handheld

Looking forward to comments and suggestions.

Beautiful image Andrew! Love the bright colours against the dark BG. Eye clarity is excellent. Composition wise I would add a little canvas up top but that is my preference.

The frog is giving you a great pose! Excellent sharpness around the head - where you most need it - and a good job of cleaning up the spectral highlights. I'm not always a fan of black backgrounds, but since this species in the wild is nocturnal, it works here. Very nicely done!

Andrew this is one fine image. Usually I would be looking at a soft image and some diffraction at f25 but all I see is wonderful colour and detail. I like the composition, I am assuming correctly the D800 is full frame (?) so the only suggestion I would have ... and it is only a suggestion in view of the high quality of the posted image would be to pull back just a little - reduce magnification and increase DOF.
Great stuff - well done!

Thanks so much for comments guys, they are much appreciated...I do have an alternate capture of this same pose with a slight bit more room above....will likely optimize this file as well.

Hi Andrew, an awesome capture, cracking vibrant colours and perfect pose. I think however you can tease some more texture from the subject.

Your welcome Andrew, you can see how much you can still pull out from within the original capture.
