Wing Stretch... Burrowing Owlet

Soon I will be driving south for a day of scouting Burrowing Owl locations for early May when I will spend a few days photographing them and their owlets. This is one from last year that I worked on recently using better techniques in post processing. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

I quite like this image. The IQ is very nice, but I feel you could have pushed it over the top with a slight bit of fill flash to bring out the sunken eyes of the owl. Overall its a very nice image.

I like this Owlet with the nice stretched pose,don't think I would change a lot apart from maybe a tad more contrast a maybe just lighten the eyes just a little bit.Just my thoughts Joe and until I have played a bit with an image such as this am never sure.Very nice piece of work.

I think this is super Joe, I think the eyes are fine, I would suggest burning the sandy soil. If you felt so inclined you could mute the background a little more using Viveza contrast and destructure,

I like the outstretched wing, mean stare, sharpness and setting. I agree that the white Florida sand needs to be toned down a bit. Well done Joe.
