Taking a bit of a break from songbirds - here's one I captured this morning from my kayak.

Very cool find, are they rare in your area? Great light and details, maybe a bit CCW rotation.

Not really. If you know where to look they are pretty common. Not that easy to get close to though ;)

Love the 3d feel of this maybe remove one of the catchlights and tone down the hot water drops on the back but I would love to even see a bird like this

This is so good......I can't keep from looking. It's the one Aukelet that I didn't get to see when at the Pribilof Islands. The colors are magnificient....and there's a beautiful glow. I'm so jealous!!!!
