A local image from the Fruit and Spice Park in Miami. One of my favorite places for bugs. It has an organic garden with no pesticides and bugs thrive !! This year the bug population has been down, not sure of the reason !! Followed this bug for about half an hour in hopes I could catch her on the act and lucked out !!

Your perseverance paid off AL!!! A very colourful Assassin bug showing great detail - pity the dark band was directly behind the fly but not much you can do about that!! I would probably remove the cropped flower at the bottom!! Nice Capture!!

'Moment' well captured. Even though the BG is cluttered etc, this perspective provides perfect angle to view the way the assassin is holding the hapless fly.

Very nicely exposed shot Al, would it have been possible to get the whole length of the antennae in the shot?
I am also curious about the 180mm plus 1.4TC with flash, did you use a monopod/tripod or did the flash enable you to hand hold?
