I took this shot last March. I had borrowed the 600mm f/4L from Canon Professional Services and took it down to Galveston for a test trial. Thanks again for all comments and opinions.

Nice to see one on a natural perch! I like the "angry" scolding pose, beautiful BG, and the good composition. I find it unfortunate that the branches were pointing towards you so much as it made them quite out-of-focus towards the top.

Thanks for the comments Daniel. I kept two shots of this Meadowlark. This one and another one where its head is turned to the side - mouth open calling. Since i took the shots when it was calling, I never saw the "angry" pose until you pointed it out. I always thought it was just singing.
