Captured this image of a very common local resident the other day, and aside form his cuteness I liked the warmth of the Autumn colors. C&C welcome.

D4S, Nikon 500mm + 1.4 TC, 1/2500s, f 7.1, ISO 2500, Gitzo tripod, Wimberley Gimbal head.

Nice perch. I like the framing and the background colors. You have some cloning artifacts on the tips of the wings, the tail and below the bird. The perch below the bird looks like it was touched up as well but is not sharply defined as the branch is at the very bottom of the pic. I would revisit that work again. The white lores look too hot to me as well.

Thanks Isaac, and thank you for pointing out the artifacts and the perch below the bird. An out of focus branch crossed at that place on the perch. I've toned down the lores a bit, but that was as warm as they were.

Geoffrey Isaac as far better eyes than these old ones of mine, but I can see an improvement on the repost with the white looking better,love the way the bird clings to i'ts perch.
