I find this great colorful rock wall a few years back during my Alaska bald eagle tours and it makes a great BG for photographing the resident eagles. We had some great late afternoon light to work with here. Full frame.

Stunning shot Dale, the rocks give a great BG to this, and the flight angle makes him look like he's coming right out of the frame. Gorgeous light, a definite winner for me.

That rock wall sure makes a great canvas!! I love that eagle flying in front of it. A bit unfortunate to have the bright orange patch touching the eagle's back, perhaps only toning it down to match the rest of the deeper orange areas would work. This must look amazing seen huge.

It is a beautiful image. The Eagles must have been close to have been using a 70-200. The exposure looks good with great light. Agree with Daniel about toning down the orange.
