This individual posed quite nicely in front of some yellowing autumn foliage a couple of weeks back.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/160s., f/5.6, ISO 1600, FF, minor eye works, a darker spot near the bill filled-in via low opacity clone stamp, the yellows at right edge desaturated to taste.

Daniel, unique alert pose with nice details, HA and BG, just in time for Thanksgiving :S3:

Dan the detail you have here is superb, eye looks perfect, think the fact that you got this against the autumnal bg really finishes it all off nicely.

Hi Dan, love the 'corkscrew' twist of the neck and perfect HA. Cracking backdrop, nice and vibrant which compliments the subject, but ultimately, it creating a backdrop that separates the subject well.

Great shot Dan. Not sure how elusive she was for you but around here wild Turkey's are one of the most shy of all the wild birds. Feather detail and a bright clear eye against a beautiful bg working together here.

Hi Dan, killer sharp detail and sharpness, and gotta love the tiny 'horn' on the head. He certainly chose a colourful BG to pose against.

Thanks guys! John, most are wary up here too, but this one is hanging out at a popular nature trail area and has become used to people.
