A wing stretch and little dance after a short snooze. DPP4 & CCPS. Removed a couple of distracting stones.

Nice catch on the wing position. I would crop off about half the space above the wing tips.

I'm really enjoying this image. I like the Tattler's position, the depth of field control and the way you used the 70-200 with the TC. I also like how the greens and blues enhance the magenta in the bird.

The light is not working out really well for me, Colin, but it's one **** of a pose! :D

Colin what we would give for some of your light even though it must be very difficult some times but not with shutter speeds of course,I like the raised wings and the stepping pose.

Thanks for the replies people, appreciated. Interesting comments about the light as it doesn't look unusual to me, that's how I see birds over here during the day, which is when they are often interesting and active.
