Photographed from a blind in the woods. Canon 5Diii with 100-400 mm lens @ 400, ISO 1600, f/6.3 aperture priority (1/160 sec). In LR, I cropped it to a 16:9 ratio, increased the highlights slightly, and took out noise with NIK Dfine.

Welcome the forum Madeleine. I really like the habitat and the reflection in this inquisitive frame. The water and the leaves look fantastic. Details look good overall but the only thing that hurts this image is the bird isn't well lit and is a bit dark. Also because of that, and your shooting conditions the, the lack of light in the eye has given the robin a less lively look. I understand the shooting conditions were in the forest but this is were some fill flash would have helped.
Looking good and keep them coming!

You pinpointed what was making me feel less than confident about this shot. Thank you, David!
