Very nice shot Bill. Although a common bird this is a great shot of it. Funny I have a very similar shot of a young bird that I was thinking of posting. Details look great and I love the smooth 2 toned background. If mine I would crop a bit looser and add a little more to the right. Personal preference of course.

Now Bill this is just the way I like to see a bird,lovely detail and soft natural looking feathers,good bg to show the bird at it's best,very nice.

Everything looks good here, except that I would have pointed my lens down more to raise the subject up in the frame. I love the raised feathers on the back!

I like the pose, feather detail, sharpness and BG. Great image of an often overlooked bird.
