I was waist high in an uncut pasture looking for migrating sparrows near a wetlands.
And this little bird kept peeking at me through the grasses. It finally held still long enough
for me the take the image.
At first I wasn't sure I liked the image but I started to like the ghostly background and blurred out weeds in front
of the bird.

Janet I get what you were trying for but if I am being honest I do not think this image works. For my taste too much of it is obscured. I do very much like the look of the background that is to the right of the bird and it has a very fall type of theme to it. Area directly behind the head is quite nice as well. But the area to the left not as much, especially the green blur that dominates that side.

Hi Janet,
I have come back to this image a couple of times.
I see what you were trying to capture but I feel there is simply too much OOF vegetation.
The head looks good but I would sharpen it a bit more.
There is a magenta color caste in the image which is easy to fix in photoshop.
