This is an image I took of reeds in a pond with their reflections. It was very minimalist to begin with but I processed it in Silver Efex Pro with the Silhouette preset to make it even more minimalist. I reduced the opacity a bit so I wouldn't lose the ripples.

Very oriental looking. minimalistic, yes. like the ripples. Haven't fully decided about the horizontal lines yet.

Very vertical! I agree with Hazel that it looks oriental, but perhaps that is due to the lack of detail allowing the viewer to delve into the inherent design elements of this image.

I like it! Very appealing in its simplicity. I knew immediately what the subject was even though the details have been eliminated. I wish the tops were not cut off by the frame.
