It seems that they have started to drain the Click Ponds at the Viera Wetlands. The second pond is very low. I just passed through yesterday and didn't see the large number of birds that we have had in the past but there were 10-12 spoonbills in one pond and there was a large gathering of woodstorks by the creek in front of Heritage Isle.
I also a goodly number of stilts and black-bellied whistling ducks.
In the past the draining of the Click Ponds has attracted large numbers of birds.
