Hi Jon,
very crisp, attractive dragonfly. Love the red abdomen. BG is pleasing except for the dark patch behind the wings. Still a very nice image. Well done.

Nice clean image of the insect in typical pose. I like the leaf perch as it is not too intrusive. I appreciate the space you have left around the subject Jonathan. I tend to try and capture too much of the subject in the frame. Nice that you don't have to leave your garden to capture such great images.

Hi Jonathan

good that you got the Darter "square on" to minimise any DOF issues ....... f11 really help when the DOF is so shallow

You did well at 1/100th sec and ISO 100 is really good

I always try to use a small light weight tripod with Dragons/Damsels - was this shot hand held
