I am just amazed at this combo, it just snaps into focus so decisively. The image is a much larger crop that I would have wanted but it is just not possible to get closer at this venue. I have some other venues in mind so fingers crossed. All comments welcome.

Fantastic mid air pose Jon, superb timing.
I see you bit on the mk2, looks a very good combo, especially if this is a fair crop. The water droplets add a lot to the scene.

Nice Shots. You were successful in capturing the moment. Water droplets adds well to the scene.
Motion in the wings are good. I would have love to see the wings vertical, but this is also great.

Beautiful shot of what I am guessing is a post bath wing flap? Like the wing position and the dangling feet and those great water droplets. This is the 1dx or 1dx2?

Thanks very much everyone for the comments.
Isaac you are correct post bathing wing flap and the camera is a 1DX - I cannot see myself replacing it for some time, it simply does everything I want, as far as I am concerned my only limitation is me! There are quite a few used ones on the market, my pal just bought one with 17,000 actuations for £3100, literally looked new.

This is simply a wonderful image, Jonathan. Like the detail you captured, the entire anatomical positioning, the overcast light, and the water droplets.

Very good capture in the air, no direct sun light, but that doesn`t matters at all.

First off congrats on the new lens. Hope you get some nice frames with it. Looks like a good start for sure. Love the angelic pose and the long legs extended with the toes pointing downward. The trailing water and the nice details make this one a real keeper. Well done and looking forward to more from you new rig.

Hi Jon, love the ballerina pose, and tack sharp where it counts. I like the straight legs with all the flying droplets.
Congrats on your new toy which I assume is your 500 II. :w3
