This is a photo of a rehabilitated, but non-releasable red-tailed hawk that is used for educational purposes by the DNR of MD. The occasion was the Chestertown Tea Party celebration during Memorial Day weekend. (Yes, there were more tea parties other than the one at Boston). I planned to clean up the eye but then noticed that the celebration was reflected in his eye. The parade was passing by and you can see the crowds and the tents of the vendors reflected there.

Image was captured with a Nikon D200, Nikkor 28-105 lens at 105 mm, f9, 1/80 sec, -0.3 EC, hand held.

A fine looking Red-tailed Hawk. I think that you've done a nice job with this guy. For some reason, the bird seems a tad light...or dull. Perhaps just a bit of contrast to make him "pop" and another round of USM to give him a bit more sharpness.

very nice Linda, I got same first impression as Lana re: softness and lightness.
A slow weekend so, I played a bit if you don't mind.

Dave: That does make him pop more! Thanks.
