This owl is this years juvenile. The background is not the cleanest but it typical of the woodlands. I think the look back pose shows the bars in the plumage that goes to the name of the owl. Image captured at CircleB Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Good find, Joe. Nice rear view with good head turn.

Good call on the vertical presentation, and I love the mosses draping the perch. I do see some evidence of cloning repeating patterns in lower left corner. I suspect some other work may have been done in other areas of the BG too?

Hi Joe,
Great find and the perch is beautiful.
I rarely use Gaussian Blur on my BG but in this case I think it would really improve the image.
I would also increase the brightness on the owl slightly.
I cannot put my finger on what it is that makes me think this, but the IQ isn't as good as your usual. Is this a big crop? Did you increase the exposure?
Still I would love this in my portfolio,
Gail
