That's one strange looking spider. I would have liked to see a bit more DOF as part of the body seems out of focus. How big was this spider?

Hey adcolon, very interesting pose, and agree the body looks like it could use a little more DOF. Bracket your f/stop as you would your exposure and when you get home decide which works the best, more or less DOF. Always remember "pixels are free". Thanks for posting.

The spider is 1/4 inch in size and the lens only goes to f/16 so can't get more DOF that way. That is why I go for a flat photo...to get the most DOF I can. It is about 2.5X magnification.

AD,

Good work on the high magnification, it makes the spider look huge, great detail and texture. Sometimes just finding the subject with the MPE65 is a acomplishment.

Agreed on the DOF points mentioned.
