The wasps go for the nectar, the plant is called scrophula the name was attributed due to the fact that the plant was used for the treatment of TB in the old days.

very nice sharpness on the wasp - love the detail on all those hairs. I like the diagonal of the plant - nice BG too. well done.

Another beauty, Jon! You really captured the detail in the wasp! I'm going to have to try using that lens more for macro. :S3:

Very well captured. I love all the details you managed to catch. These flowers are among my favorite wildflowers! My only critique would be that the wasps head and thorax are in the shadows, with the result that the lighter perch and BG overpower your main subject a bit. Probably difficult to solve in PP with all the hairs. Fill flash or reflector would have helped here.
On second thought, an option might be to selectively tone down the left part of the image (using a grad mask in PS) and then lift the overall exposure of the image.
