This image was captured on one of my favorite islands on our recent trip to Iceland. It was on a higher cliff of Flatey island that a few Atlantic Puffins were bringing in fish for their young. They are a very expressive and curious bird. It's easy to spend quite a bit of time watching them, especially in such an idyllic location. C&C welcome.

D4S, Nikon 500mm + 1.4 TC, 1/2500s, f 5.6, ISO 1000, Gitzo tripod, Wimberley Gimbal head.

I like the pose you captured here Geoffrey. Nice details on the blacks and whites. BG looks good as well. If you had been able to get lower, I think it would have given you a better POV.

Very nice capture Geoffrey, I like the environment and the fish bit I wish the head was more parallel to the back of the camera so we could see the puffin's eye and the fish a bit better
