From a productive Macro outing at the Fruit and Spice Park in Miami. Trying to make it a mini micro-scape framing insects with other objects. Mange a few and this was my favorite.

Comments welcome and much appreciated

Wonderful composition, Al. That BG flower is just perfectly in place to highlight that beautiful bee!

I can see why this was one of your favourites Al!!
I think its the best bee image I've seen to date. Love the perspective you have achieved here and the OOF mirror of the flower puts it right up there!!!

Sweet image! Technically excellent and the inclusion and placement of the OOF flower in the background really sets this apart.

I really like the depth of field around the bee, the eye looks tack sharp, and I really love the sharpness of the hairs.

Superb! I've never seen an image of a bee this close-up with the whole bee in focus. Impressive.

Nice shot Al, tell me because I have decided to buy a Canon 180mm - is this shot cropped very much or not. I am interested to see you have plenty of DOF and I am wondering how much of a frame filler it was or if you backed off a little to give you more DOF. Thanks

Hey Al, awesome to see the whole bee tack sharp. The mirror effect of the BG flower works well. Keep em coming!!
