I have recently been fortunate enough to get an adult and juvenile visiting the garden, this is the juvenile, the colours have not fully developed yet.
All C&C welcome.

Look at the little scratch marks on the perch. It must be a favourite.

I like the room all round this lovely little bird. Beautiful soft colours on the bird and vibrant BG sets him off. The open beak with tongue is a big bonus.

I like most everything about this unconventional image: the square crop, the bird relatively high in a near-square frame, and the perfect head angle to go with a somewhat awkward pose. I even like the too-large-for-the-bird perch though I am not sure. I do know that it all works together for me.

Hi Jon, lovely encounter again and nice to see you moving on in terms of subject too. Great that you have so much coming in there. I like the idea of going square here Jon and loosing some off the top perhaps, be interesting to see. Cool IQ too.

Are you happy with the colours now and PP route, or still in a flux??? :S3:
