From a few years ago hiking in the Anza Borrego desert
This is a small bird about the size of a Bushtit but a bit stockier.
Thanks for looking.

Pretty much perfect Tim. I wish only for about a 1-2 degree head turn toward us...

A pleasing image Tim, A very nice perch for this little bird and a good background. Placed and sized well in the frame.

Tim:
Soft background compliments the bird and delicate perch. Yellows well exposed. Agree about the head turn, but very nice as is.
Cheers

A beautiful little bird, and beautifully captured. I had hoped for an image like this when I visited the southwest. Nicely exposed. My personal preference would have been to move the bird a bit lower in the frame (more room above); but I suspect you didn't want to cut off that nice downward-arching leaf.

Besides a little head turn, this is about as good as you could ask for, especially for a wild shot. Well done Tim
