Portland Japanese Garden.
f11, 14mm, D800, .4sec. iso100
PP in ACR, PS6

I could only save this at 40, so it appears crunchy in the severely compressed version.

Hi Dan - I like the perspective from under the tree and the web of branches. I know you like your vibrance and saturation but I find the bright greens at the bottom of the frame drawing my eye away from the more interesting top half of the image. I would also crop to eliminate the bright green patch in the trc.

TFS,
Rachel

Hi Dan...great perspective...I agree with Rachel on the bright green leaves in the upper right corner...also the image looks a little flat to me and I think you could add a touch more contrast to make it pop a little more.

Hi Dan

Cool shot, but more contrast is what I was thinking also...

I am late to the party but this is a very cool shot. I wish it were mine, Dan. All the comments above are valid points. I do feel the green towards the bottom look a little funky but green is always very hard to get right on camera.

Love the fact that it's all tree here, a frame filler with great lines and interest.
I agree with Rachel on the vibrance, and with Andrew on adding some midtone contrast, would really make it pop IMHO!

Hey Dan,

Love the framing and the patterns. Rache's comment is a good one. Try reducing the YELLOW SAT on the brighter greens at the bottom.

Is this the famous little tree?

Great perspective Dan, i fully agree on the contrast comments and i would personally remove a chunk of the top as for me what works best is in the lower 2/3rds.
