Very nice indeed Jon. Lovely details and good exposure. I think the few drops of rain adds to the image. Great HA and a lovely BG and perch.

Well done

This is a simply brilliant image, Jonathan. The first thing that struck me was the colors and how sharp the bird is. Love the perch and the color of the yellow lichen complimenting the yellow on the bird and BG. The raindrops falling and beading up on the bird is great.

Nice colours, and I always enjoy well done images taken in inclement weather. Good head turn by the finch! I like the BG overall, I just wish the transition line between yellow and green above was more gradual.

Hi Jon, can only echo Dan's feedback, but I might, on this occasion (if applicable) to have dropped the SS to 1/250 or below if the subject is static for a period so you can capture more of the 'inclement' weather. I can explain if we talking today.

Hi Jon, love the setting here with the multitude of striking colours, and love the hint of the rain droplets on the Bird. I like the show of the falling rain in the BG too.

Seems like your weather is not only spoiling your photography, but the cricket and Wimbledon too. :w3
