I wnet through my files from trip to Utah a couple of years ago and worked on a Mesa Arch image that had the sun breaking the horizon. This is a three image blend shot with my 6D and 16-35 f/4 at 16mm and f/22 for the sun star

Very inspiring, Don. I love the exposure control on this one. What I like most from this picture is the depth perceived from what is framed by the arch.

Incredible sunburst! Seems to be some flattening of tonalities in the FG rocks Although they would have been in deep shade, I wonder if there is more tonal range there.

Hi Don - This works really well with an excellent sunburst. The placement in frame is great and so is the comp. Nicely done.

Excellent image of an icon..
Maybe go a bit darker with the sky?

This is a classic shot Don, nicely pulled off.
I agree you could perhaps tease some more out of the rocks tonally. I'd be careful with darkening the sky as it seems that there's already a slight lighter halo forming around the arch?

That's about the wickedest starburst I have ever seen.
